PRINT FAIR
PRINT FAIR
ESP proudly organizes the Photographic Print Fair. We’re on year 4! The event will happen on November 21, and planning starts RIGHT NOW.
Regardless of what “level” you see yourself at in your photo journey, there is literally a seat at the table(s) for you. The Photographic Print Fair is all about highlighting our robust local photo scene; We wanted to create an event that was exclusively about photography, but without an elitist or exclusionary attitude.
We’ve decided to meet the demand of this quickly-growing event by thoughtfully switching a few things up. Here’s what you should know:
Our fourth annual event will happen on November 21 from 12-5pm in the gymnasium at the Kingsley Association (6435 Frankstown Ave). By moving into a larger venue, we hope to offer spots to the majority of our applicants, making it our biggest year yet. Artists represent themselves and their work at this market-style event, which is free and open to the public to attend. You can expect this to be an incredible networking day in addition to having the opportunity to sell your work. Any photographers from the Pittsburgh region are encouraged to apply!
Be a part of it!
Applications for artists officially closed on August 9. Please check back for other opportunities.

FAQ:
How many people are estimated to attend the event? Last year we had over 650 individuals come to the fair, and we anticipate a larger crowd this year.
How many vendors are selected to sell? We will do our best to fit as many applicants as possible, but we hope to comfortably fit around 60 vendors this year with a practical and easy-to-navigate layout.
Do I have to submit the Google form application to be considered or can I talk to you in person? You’re welcome to email or stop in to ask questions, but no artist will be considered without a completed application. Sorry, but we cannot accommodate requests that fall outside of this official process.
What kind of artwork can I sell? You are welcome to sell any photographic-related work. Framed or unframed photographs of any size. Darkroom, digital, cyanotype, risograph, collage—we appreciate the variety. Books and zines are welcome. If you’re unsure that your creations fit the bill, just shoot us an email or simply apply anyway! Reminder that this event is open to all ages, so we ask that you keep that in mind.
I’ve never done something like this before. Can you help me? YES, to some extent! A mission of ESP is to always support all levels of photographers, so we of course will offer some help. Look for info sessions on Zoom, as well as tips and input on Instagram. If you are eager to apply and need a lot of support, please reach out ASAP. We cannot help you decide if you want to sell once the application process has closed. At that point, we will only offer info sessions to the selected vendors who could use some additional support.
I can’t afford the application and table fee. What are my options? While the application fee is required for all, we DO have a “sponsorship” program that will help offset the costs for some amount of vendors. The number of sponsored spots will only be determined after applications close, so we encourage you to apply to be considered. ESP does not receive funding for this event, so it’s all grassroots in the sense that our efforts come from our own pockets and that of our vending artists. We are extremely appreciative of any donations and fiscal sponsorship as it helps to open this door to more folks.
Why is there an application fee this year? Ah, so glad you asked! ESP is predominantly ran by me, a singular human, with incredible part-time help. Organizing this event requires more of those beautiful part-time people and a LOT more effort from me. This modest fee allows us successfully plan and promote this event. In other words, without this fee and reasonable financial support from the community, it wouldn’t exist. Thank you for understanding!
I want to table at the event, but I am not a photographer. What’s the deal? We have room for a handful of food and drink vendors, as well as some tables for photo-adjacent organizations. Please reach out via email if this is you.
I just want to support this event. What do you need? You’re lovely! We could always use hands the day of set-up and during clean-up. We also love bottled water donations, or even snack and beer donations for our vendor party! (Hell yeah!) Got a little money you’d like to toss our way for rental fees, etc.? Please reach out anytime via email. <3
